The Haunting

This film is a remake of the 1963 version with the same overall theme and storyline. A scientist is doing an experiment on people whom cannot sleep otherwise known as insomniacs. What Eleanor, Luke and Theo (played by Lili Tyler, Owen Wilson and Catherine Zeta-Jones) don’t know is that the house is haunted and that the scientist is doing more than one “little” experiment. This house is purgatory for the many young souls whom suffered inside of its hauntingly chilling walls of fear and pain. The three subjects feel the presence of many things while they are going on about their weekly packets they have to fill out. But at night they all begin to wonder why in a scientist right mind would he think they would be able to sleep in such a place. As they figure out the truth behind his experiment they begin to head out and then realize that the house will not let them leave. Trapped inside with this selfish yet guilty scientist they are all under attack from the harsh spirit of Hugh Crain, all his hatred and wrath. Will they live, die, or become consumed in the house where their souls will be trapped forever in their own purgatory…?
