A Nightmare on Elm Street
This scary film is brought to you by the brilliant Wes Craven. It follows a young teenage girl named Nancy Thompson, and her friends Tina, Rod and Glen. At first Nancy started having bad dreams about a man with fingers for knives and a stripped sweater, and also wore a hat. As she describes the concerns of her dream to her best friend Tina, Tina then tells Nancy that she too had been dreaming about the man. Tina described him as badly burned and terrifying to her because he was always trying to capture her in some kind of boiler room. They each tell their boyfriends what they had been seeing after a sleepover at Tina’s house, because her mother was always going out and working constantly.
The man they have been describing turns out to be a former janitor at a school for children, later finding out that his name is Freddy Kruger, he was burned alive in the building attached to the school by parents. Little did Nancy and her friends all know that their parents were the ones who had burned him alive, and the reason for which they did that, is because their parents had sent them to that same school where Freddy Kruger had worked, and they had found that Nancy and her friends as well as many other children who had gone to that school, were coming home with bruises, and theory of them being molested. So they burned him alive, but why are they seeing him now? How is that even possible? Will they end up dying in their sleep or will they find away to manipulate Freddy Kruger into coming into their world? the “real” world….because once Freddy is in the “real” world and not just their dreams it’s anyone’s ending to victory or death.
